Committees



Club Administration:  The Committee on Club Administration, under the supervision of the Vice-President, shall include three sub-committees for House, Programs, and Interclub.  Each sub-committee shall be headed by a coordinator.

  • The House Committee:  This sub-committee, led by its coordinator, shall provide for an effective club meeting for each week to include the location, meals, meeting room setup, reception, and fellowship.
     

  • The Programs Committee:  This sub-committee, led by its coordinator, shall provide for a program at the club's regular meeting each week, as directed.
     

  • The Interclub Committee:  This sub-committee, led by its coordinator, shall schedule visits to other Kiwanis Clubs and members of the K family and shall provide for the visitations to this club by other Kiwanis Clubs and Sponsored Youth organizations.

Publicity and Public Relations Committee:  This committee shall provide appropriate information on club activities to the print media, radio, television, and the Internet.

 

Membership Growth and Education:  This committee shall devise ways and means of maintaining an adequate membership of such standards as are provided in the club bylaws.  The committee shall consider all proposals for membership and shall submit its recommendations to the Board of Directors.  The committee shall also devise effective plans for the orientation and induction of new members and the utilization of all members.  The committee shall also promote the concept of regular attendance at club meetings. 

 

Youth Services:  This committee shall study, devise, and suggest methods and means to assist youth to adjust themselves to their environment and become adapted to the social, economic, and moral demands which they may encounter, and shall develop ways and means of assisting in the guidance of youth in the selection of proper and suitable vocations, as well as other areas which the committee may deem pertinent.

 

Community Services:  This committee shall study, devise, and suggest methods and means whereby this club can render effective community service.  Areas of concern shall include issues related to senior citizens, agriculture, conservation, environment, pollution, public and business affairs, International relations, safety, as well as other areas which the committee may deem pertinent.

 

Human and Spiritual Values:  This committee shall cooperate on broad, nondenominational lines with religious leaders and groups in the community to create a greater individual and public consciousness of the importance of religious and spiritual values. 

 

Sponsored Youth:  This committee shall devise ways and means to establish Key Clubs in high schools, Builders Clubs at middle schools, and K-Kids Clubs at elementary schools within the territorial limits of this club and shall encourage and promote the activities of all such organizations sponsored by this club.

 

Young Children - Priority One:  This committee shall study, devise, and suggest methods and means to provide services for young children through age five (5) including pre-natal services and others deemed appropriate.

 

Technology:  This committee shall study, devise, and suggest the methods and the means to keep the Club current with advances in the applications of technology as those advances affect Club communications, records, finances, and publications. The committee shall be responsible for the creation, revision and maintenance of the Club's Website and all of the contacts and contracts to keep the website operational.
